Frontline Mind identified an opportunity early to partner with the University of Melbourne to deliver a people skills course to chemical engineer students; not traditionally the strong suite of science-minded people.
We have also worked with other organisations like Analytical Services Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government Environmental Health Unit in this space, as well as utility companies that do perform an essential, frontline role like TasWater.
In 2019, Frontline Mind was introduced to the team at University College at the University of Tasmania with a view to sharing experiences in digital-led education. We found that we had well-aligned values and our content added deep value in a number of areas in a newly developed Associate Degree in Applied Health and Community Support.
Over the course of 12 months, we adapted and customised our content and workshop designs so that UTas staff could host the experiential learning themselves. Several key units across the degree are now led by Frontline Mind content, specifically on leading, communicating, planning for the (unknown) future, and decision making in complex situations.
